We encourage all parents and carers to provide an iPad for their child/children from Year 3 onwards. This gives students a powerful tool to enhance their learning and develop essential skills for their primary and secondary education.
Our school has operated iConnect (formerly Bring Your Own Device) classrooms since 2016.
Tallebudgera’s
iConnect classrooms are a highly effective education approach that support high
levels of student engagement and learning for our students. The digital rich learning environment of our iConnect classrooms helps children to gain essential twenty-first century knowledge and skills. Having their own device for use at school enables students to develop the digital capabilities that they need in high school and beyond.
Children who participate in the iConnect program use a balance of approaches to their learning, making the most of digital technology while also developing the necessary non-device related skills (e.g. handwriting, mental calculations).
